More than 30 years of Faust
The competent alternative - founded more than 30 years ago
In 2023 - a very special year for us - we celebrated our 30th anniversary.
Offering customers a high-performance and competent alternative to existing laboratory equipment suppliers was the objective when three employees with industry experience founded the company.
We have now been successfully active in the specialised laboratory trade for more than 30 years. Special thanks go to all our customers for their many years of trust and good cooperation!
Still in the hands of the employees today
As an owner-managed Swiss company, we have been able to grow continuously in recent years and today have around 25 employees, half of whom are actively involved in sales.
Warehouse and skilled personnel are becoming increasingly important
In the past 30 years and probably also in the future, laboratory space and time have become and will continue to become more and more expensive. For this reason, some of our customers have liquidated their warehouses. This places even greater demands on our logistics. Thanks to our further expanded warehouse in Schaffhausen, we can meet this demand and deliver within 24 hours.
The technical changes of recent years pose a great challenge to the know-how of our sales team. We cope with this through monthly training sessions for our manufacturers and fundamentally promote the training and further education of our employees.
Faust distributes over 800 manufacturers in Switzerland, some of which such as TPP, Faster, Zirbus, Ziegra etc. exclusively.

Traditionally Swiss at Faust means:

- Our warehouse in Schaffhausen sets us apart from the competition: We deliver items in stock within 24 hours.
- With care and competence we respond to your needs - talking to each other and finding solutions that satisfy you as a customer. We have also adopted these values in our business philosophy. In order to find optimal solutions, competent consultations are necessary. That is why we only employ staff with laboratory experience in sales.
- Swiss quality and reliability - Switzerland is literally known for this. We feel particularly committed to these quality features. In the laboratory environment, technical perfection is a must. For us, this is a challenge that we gladly accept.

Even when the company was founded in 1993, it was the declared aim of the founders to stand out from the competition. In order to stay true to this, we monitor the market and seek intensive contact with customers and manufacturers so that our employees are familiar with the latest developments.
Exclusive partner of TPP in Switzerland - Cell Culture and Life Science
The exclusive partnership with TPP was established in 2009 as a result of many years of intensive cooperation and the resulting trust in our competence. TPP, the Swiss manufacturer of cell culture and life science products.
Exclusive representation of Faster - clean room and safety cabinets
Since 2018, Faust has also been the exclusive representative for Faster safety cabinets throughout Switzerland.
Exclusively in the specialised laboratory trade - our owner-managed Swiss company
However, it is not only our partners who are exclusive, but also our standards and our services. The ownership structure of our company is almost unique. The majority of the shares are in the hands of currently employed staff.
Unique too:
- our Swiss warehouse or our own warehouse in Schaffhausen and the associated fast response time.
- our sales team with laboratory experience or the professional qualifications of our employees, who constantly undergo further training to be prepared for every challenge.
- our apprenticeship training in various professions or our offer for apprentices; to date, we have provided vocational training for 16 business people, two logisticians and one media technician.

In order to be able to supply our customers particularly flexibly and quickly, we have our own warehouse in Schaffhausen, where we always have required laboratory consumables and laboratory equipment in stock.

Because we know how expensive your research and analysis time is, we always keep all TPP products for cell culture and life science in stock. For you, this means guaranteed delivery without waiting time.
Our LLG warehouse
In addition to our warehouse, our subsidiary LLG manages a further 15,000 articles in its 6,000 m2 warehouse, as well as the high-bay warehouse with a floor area of 3,500 m2 that went into operation in January 2016. Here we access with short delivery time to your advantage.

As a full-range supplier, we carry the full assortment of the laboratory industry with several 10'000 articles, of which you will find the most important 25'000 in our ducked catalogue. Even more articles are documented in our online shop. We take care of purchasing from over 500 manufacturers for you and thus simplify your ordering processes considerably.
Whether for the chemistry, biochemistry, microbiology or medical laboratory, whether for synthesis, analytics, research and life science, with us you will find everything to optimally equip your laboratory.

Although products that cost less than a centime belong in this segment, quality and readiness to deliver are our top priorities. That's why we also work with the market leaders in this product area. The LLG warehouse complements our Swiss warehouse
Since 1999 Faust Laborbedarf AG has been a shareholder in Lab Logistics Group GmbH (LLG), our purchasing organisation for laboratory materials in Germany. Through this participation in LLG, we have access to an intermediate warehouse with an additional 15,000 articles in addition to our own warehouse with around 5,000 articles.
