Description
Preservation system with freezing medium for the long-term storage of bacterial cultures. The unique technique uses porous beads as a carrier for microorganisms to preserve them simply and safely by freezing. It is a universal method that minimizes cross-contamination and prevents genetic variation of the microorganisms. The cryotubes inoculated with a pure culture should be stored at -25 °C, -30 °C, -35 °C, or down to -80 °C for best long-term results.
Some fastidious microorganisms and specific fungi can be affected negatively by low temperatures. It is therefore recommended to perform specific tests for special strains.

All Nutrient Pad sets are supplied with the appropriate membrane filters, which are also individually sterile packed. Alternative nutrient media are available on request.
